Role Description

The Market Developer at Thrivent in Dallas, Texas, plays a pivotal role in accelerating the success of financial advisors and sales teams. This position focuses on delivering hands-on sales mentorship, practice guidance, and joint fieldwork to boost productivity and total sales across the region. As the primary support for new advisors in their first year—and ongoing support through year four—you'll ensure clients receive purpose-based financial advice through targeted training, case consultations, and side-by-side coaching.

Launch New Financial Advisors into Teams

  • Conduct high levels of joint fieldwork as scheduled by new financial advisors to observe activities, provide constructive feedback, and support case preparation, consultation, and delivery.
  • Demonstrate, model, and coach on the effective use of Salesforce, MoneyGuidePro, Thrivent Planning Platform, and other Thrivent advice tools throughout the sales process.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for financial advisors developing sales goals, analyzing performance gaps, and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Assist financial advisors in developing and executing marketing plans that leverage natural market relationships, referrals, and community networks.
  • Advise on high-impact activities to achieve sales targets and foster sustainable business growth.

Additional Key Duties

  • Act as an extension of the field training team to develop and execute advisor training deliverables, ensuring compliance and best practices.
  • Provide ongoing mentorship to sales associates, promoting productivity, client retention, and purpose-driven financial planning.
  • Collaborate with regional leaders to monitor market trends, advisor performance metrics, and sales pipeline health in Dallas and surrounding areas.
  • Facilitate workshops and peer learning sessions on financial products, sales techniques, and client engagement strategies.

Preferred: CFP or ChFC designation; experience in fraternal or faith-based organizations.
