Role Description

The Market Director - Appleton/Green Bay is a strategic leadership position focused on expanding Thrivent's presence by attracting top-tier, diverse talent into Financial Professional (FP) roles. You'll cultivate relationships, coach new FPs to success, and collaborate across teams to build thriving practices. This role demands a blend of recruiting prowess, coaching expertise, and market savvy to drive sustainable growth in the Appleton-Green Bay market.

Detailed Responsibilities

Attract, Recruit, and Select Diverse Talent

  • Create and implement recruiting strategies to attract quality, diverse FP candidates in the Appleton/Green Bay focus market.
  • Build trusting relationships within diverse networks, leverage centers of influence, and secure referrals from FPs for top talent.
  • Partner with Thrivent leaders to develop capacity plans and master recruiting/selection systems.
  • Manage a robust pipeline of high-potential, diverse candidates.
  • Conduct selection interviews and assess candidates for success probability.
  • Inspire followership through enthusiasm for Thrivent's career opportunities and genuine care for others' success.

Develop New FPs and Support Practice Launches

  • Master and coach on the Thrivent Financial Advice Process, modeling all elements effectively.
  • Commit to 3 days/week of joint field work with new FPs for observation, feedback, and case preparation.
  • Demonstrate Salesforce, CAP, Illustrations, and other tools during sales processes.
  • Guide FPs in goal-setting, progress reviews, challenge analysis, and solution development.
  • Collaborate on marketing plans leveraging natural markets, referrals, and community engagement.

Collaborate with Others

  • Communicate FP progress (new and veteran) to leadership teams.
  • Facilitate connections for joint field work and practice experiences between new and veteran FPs.
  • Stay connected with corporate resources for best practices in recruiting, launches, and veteran support.
  • Leverage technology for effective FP coaching and training.
  • Partner with Community Engagement teams to grow the market and identify key communities.
