Role Description

The Associate Security Professional (Part Time Weekend Security Officer) is responsible for providing a safe and secure work environment for employees, contractors, and visitors at Thrivent's Minneapolis location. This role ensures 24/7 security coverage through weekend shifts, protecting member information and company assets. You'll respond to emergencies, enforce security protocols, and complete shift duties independently while taking direction effectively. Detailed Responsibilities

• Emergency Response: Respond to life safety and emergency incidents, take command of the scene, provide aid, medical attention, or directions as needed.
• Premises Security: Monitor CCTV systems, patrol Thrivent property, secure doors and access points, operate computer systems and communication equipment, prepare documentation, write reports, maintain records, inspect for vandalism, suspicious activity, safety/fire hazards.
• Support Services: Assist employees, contractors, visitors, and internal teams with safety and security issues.
• Access Control: Coordinate visitor information, enforce security procedures for facility access, conduct escorts for employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors.
• Equipment Audits: Assist or conduct audits of security and life safety equipment/systems.
• Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned, including shift-specific responsibilities.
