Role Description

The Senior Investment Systems Analyst (ISA) plays a pivotal role in providing solution support for investment systems and related processes that directly empower business decision-making. As a key member of our Investment Technology and Data team in Minneapolis, Minnesota, you will partner with fellow ISAs, engineers, portfolio managers, research analysts, operations teams, and market data vendors.

In this position, you will own the improvement of operational processes, issue resolution, change management, and data quality for applications and visualizations within your knowledge area. Applying deep business knowledge, systems analysis, and analytical skills, you'll handle both day-to-day operations and strategic project work. Detailed Responsibilities

  • Provide front-line process and system support for assigned internal customers, investment systems, and processes, ensuring seamless operations and quick resolutions.
  • Partner closely with Engineering teams and other ISAs to enhance the reliability, scalability, and effectiveness of investment solutions.
  • Interface frequently with internal customers, including Portfolio Managers and Research Analysts, to capture business priorities and adapt to their evolving needs in the fast-paced financial markets.
  • Oversee the successful movement of key investment data through complex systems and processes, maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with Investment Technology, Data, and Operations teams to develop and reinforce standardized systems and processes across the investment department.
  • Lead or participate in high-impact projects implementing new processes, systems, data visualizations, or integrations; contribute to requirements gathering, design, planning, development, and execution of comprehensive test cases.
  • Serve as a critical liaison to Engineering teams for the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of assigned investment systems.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with external peers, vendors, and market data providers to stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in investment systems.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis for system issues, implement preventive measures, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies in all investment system activities.

Proven track record in a financial services environment, with hands-on experience supporting portfolio management systems, data integrations, and cross-functional teams. Experience with vendor management and regulatory compliance in investments is a plus.
