Role Description

We're seeking a seasoned Staff Product Designer, Bank to shape Thrivent’s new integrated banking experience (DBX), unifying banking capabilities with investments, insurance, and generosity into a seamless digital platform. This senior individual contributor role is perfect for a strategic design leader who thrives in complex problem spaces, drives clarity through design, and elevates product experiences through deep craft and user advocacy.

You’ll lead design efforts across foundational and advanced banking features, collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders. Influence product strategy, ensure design excellence, and advocate for users in every decision.   • Communicate effectively at all organizational levels with confidence, charisma, and clarity; mentor design teams and influence digital experience strategy.
  • Mentor junior team members, providing guidance on best practices and methodologies.
  • Utilize strong design facilitation skills to foster cross-functional collaboration and storytelling to build trust and long-term relationships.
  • Guide and conduct design research, leveraging insights to inform product decisions and user experiences.
  • Lead end-to-end design processes for banking features, from ideation to prototyping, testing, and iteration.
  • Ensure accessibility, inclusivity, and scalability in all designs, adhering to WCAG standards and Thrivent’s brand guidelines.
  • Partner with engineering to deliver pixel-perfect implementations and advocate for design system adoption.
