Education & Experience

Successful Thrivent Financial Advisors come from diverse backgrounds, including outside sales, business management, education, ministry, hospitality, military, and more. Skills from these fields transition seamlessly into financial advising. No prior financial experience is required—we provide comprehensive training—but a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred. Michigan residents or those willing to relocate to Kalamazoo are ideal. Must be willing to pursue required licenses: state insurance (life, health, variable contracts), Series 7, and Series 66.

Compensation Overview

This role offers uncapped earning potential through a commission-based structure with incentives tied to performance. First-year advisors often exceed $100,000 in total compensation, with top performers achieving six figures annually. Base salary during the 14-week paid training period provides stability as you launch your practice.
