Role Description

The Team-Based Financial Advisor role is designed as a launchpad for success, emphasizing learning and development over immediate production pressures. You'll work closely with Lead Advisors to receive personalized mentorship, participate in joint client fieldwork, and master the financial advising craft. Over your first 8-13 weeks, Thrivent supports you in obtaining essential licenses, followed by a comprehensive 6-week training program. Post-training, you'll build your book of business, aiming to transition into a traditional Financial Advisor role within the sponsoring team.

  • Participate in joint fieldwork with Lead Advisors to build expertise and adopt industry best practices.
  • Meet with new and existing clients to cultivate relationships and construct a robust book of business.
  • Solicit and sell suitable financial products, process applications, draft recommendations, and service client contracts.
  • Position Thrivent products, services, and strategies to deliver financial clarity and goal achievement.
  • Develop proficiency in key tools like Salesforce, MoneyGuidePro, What-If Tax, and other advisory platforms.
  • Engage in community events to attract prospects and deliver financial education workshops.
  • Research and respond promptly to client inquiries with accurate, empathetic solutions.
  • Collaborate with Lead Advisors on complex financial scenarios and planning.
  • Schedule, prepare for, and meticulously document all client meetings for compliance and continuity.
  • Contribute to practice growth initiatives, including marketing and client retention strategies.
