Role Description

The Team-Based Financial Advisor role at Thrivent's Riverfront Legacy practice is designed for motivated individuals passionate about financial advising. This position provides a structured platform emphasizing learning and development over immediate production pressures. You'll work closely with seasoned Lead Advisors, receiving hands-on mentorship, coaching, and training to master the financial services landscape.

Over your first 8-13 weeks, Thrivent invests in your success by sponsoring the study and attainment of essential licenses, such as Resident State Life, Health and Annuity, Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), and Series 6/63, 7/66, or 7/63/65 (tailored to your situation). Following licensing, you'll dive into a comprehensive 6-week training program covering client service, product knowledge, compliance, and advice tools.

Post-training, you'll shadow experts in joint fieldwork, gradually building your client base with the goal of transitioning to a full traditional Financial Advisor role within the team.   • Learn the full operation of the Riverfront Legacy practice, from client onboarding to portfolio management.

  • Solicit and sell appropriate financial products, process applications, draft recommendations, and service client contracts.
  • Position Thrivent products, services, and strategies to deliver financial clarity and goal achievement.
  • Master proficiency in key platforms like Salesforce, MoneyGuidePro, What-If Tax, and other advisory tools.
  • Engage in community events to attract prospects and deliver financial education workshops.
  • Research and promptly respond to client inquiries with accurate, empathetic solutions.
  • Collaborate with Lead Advisors on complex financial scenarios and planning.
  • Schedule, prepare for, and meticulously document all client meetings.
  • Support practice growth through networking in local Spokane communities where clients live, work, and worship.
  • Handle other responsibilities as assigned by the Lead Advisor to ensure seamless team operations.
