Role Description

The Team-Sponsored Launch position at Thrivent Financial in Toms River, NJ, offers a unique entry into the financial advising world. By joining an existing team of experienced financial advisors, you'll serve clients in emerging markets while accelerating your business growth. This role provides income stability, joint fieldwork opportunities, and focused learning, allowing you to prioritize development over immediate production pressures.

Ideal for first-time candidates, career changers, or industry professionals, this model transitions you to a full financial advisor role within 3 months to 3 years. Over 8-13 weeks, you'll obtain essential licenses including Resident State Life, Health and Annuity; Securities Industry Essentials; and Series 6/63 or 7/66 (or 7/63 and 65). Followed by up to 8 weeks of comprehensive training, you'll be equipped to build your book of business and join the sponsoring team.

Detailed Responsibilities

Licensing and Training Phase

• Complete state-required Life, Health, and Annuity licenses.
• Pass Securities Industry Essentials exam.
• Achieve Series 6/63 or 7/66 (7/63 and 65) certifications.
• Participate in Thrivent's structured training program to master financial planning tools and client engagement strategies.

Post-Training Activities

• Meet potential clients to forge genuine, long-term relationships based on shared values and financial goals.
• Empower clients with informed decisions on education funding, investments, insurance, and retirement planning.
• Build a robust personal network through local nonprofits, churches, businesses, and community events in Toms River.
• Conduct joint fieldwork with sponsoring team advisors to gain hands-on experience.

• Track progress toward transitioning to a full-time financial advisor role within the team.
