Role Description

The Training Specialist LIC role is pivotal in facilitating in-person and/or virtual learning experiences that incorporate adult learning principles and accommodate diverse learning styles. Using existing resources and programs, you'll deliver training on company orientation, industry knowledge, Thrivent products (life insurance, disability income, Medicare supplement, long-term care, fixed and variable annuities, tax-exempt programs), processes, systems, and service skills. This position measures individual progress to ensure learners achieve business results, with a focus on Annuity and Life Insurance Interaction Center needs. Only roles handling Annuity complaints require specific licensing.

As a remote Training Specialist, you'll create positive, inclusive learning environments, revise materials based on feedback, and collaborate with leaders to address training gaps. Detailed Responsibilities

  • Facilitate in-person and/or virtual learning experiences using existing resources and programs.
  • Ensure a positive, inclusive, and effective learning experience for all participants to achieve intended learning objectives.
  • Make moderate revisions to existing learning materials (job aids, tutorials, web-based training, workshop curriculum, learner guides, articles, publications, technology tips, videos) based on user feedback and content changes.
  • Consult with business leaders to assess learning/development/training needs and assist in developing solutions and tools.
  • Document and maintain all training records accurately.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and record the effectiveness of training courses; recommend and develop improvements as needed.
  • Provide feedback to content owners, represent training interests on project teams, and recommend training approaches.
  • Offer timely follow-up to participant questions.
  • Support the design, development, and management of effective learning and performance-focused solutions; assess business and audience needs, develop learning strategies, and identify delivery methods including innovative methodologies.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide business context for relevant learning programs delivered through various channels.
  • Identify emerging issues, research training trends, and recommend new approaches for insurance and annuity training.

Role Description
