Role Description

As a Virtual Financial Advisor at Thrivent in Atlanta, you’ll guide clients through virtual consultations to create holistic financial plans. Leveraging Thrivent’s advanced digital tools, you’ll provide tailored advice on investments, retirement planning, insurance, and banking solutions. This position is ideal for motivated professionals passionate about financial wellness and community service, offering a pathway to build a thriving advisory practice.

Detailed Responsibilities

• Guide Christians and others who align with Thrivent’s mission and values to create and maintain their financial plans, enabling lives of service and faith.
• Conduct virtual client meetings using video conferencing and Thrivent’s proprietary planning software to assess financial goals and risks.
• Develop personalized financial strategies including investment portfolios, retirement accounts, life insurance, and charitable giving plans.
• Build and nurture a book of business from Thrivent’s extensive client base in the Atlanta area and nationwide.
• Collaborate with local Thrivent teams for community events and referrals to expand your network.
• Utilize data analytics and financial modeling tools to deliver actionable insights and recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards while maintaining exceptional client service.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay ahead of industry trends and enhance advisory skills.
• Promote Thrivent’s culture of generosity through client education on planned giving and community impact initiatives.

Required Skills

To excel as a Virtual Financial Advisor in Atlanta, you need a blend of technical expertise, interpersonal skills, and a heart for service. Thrivent provides training, but these core competencies will set you apart:

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field preferred.
• Active or willingness to obtain Life & Health Insurance licenses and Series 7 & 66 securities licenses (Thrivent supports licensing with paid training).
• 1-3 years of experience in financial services, sales, customer service, or advisory roles highly desirable.
• Proven track record in virtual client interactions and relationship building.
• Alignment with Thrivent’s Christian mission and commitment to ethical financial guidance.

Compensation Overview

Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission structure based on assets under management and client acquisition. Total first-year earnings potential for top performers exceeds $100K.
