Role Description

As a Virtual Financial Advisor at Thrivent, you’ll guide Christians and others who align with Thrivent’s mission and values to create and maintain their financial plans, enabling lives of service and faith. Working remotely from Minneapolis, Minnesota, you'll deliver personalized financial guidance through virtual platforms, leveraging cutting-edge technology to connect with clients nationwide.

Detailed Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual client consultations to assess financial goals, risk tolerance, and life objectives.
• Develop and implement customized financial plans using Thrivent’s proprietary tools and frameworks.
• Recommend investment strategies, insurance products, banking solutions, and generosity planning options.
• Monitor client portfolios and adjust strategies based on market changes and life events.
• Build and nurture long-term client relationships through ongoing virtual support and engagement.
• Participate in community outreach and Thrivent’s generosity initiatives to strengthen client ties.
• Leverage CRM systems and digital tools to manage your book of business efficiently.
• Stay compliant with all regulatory requirements, including FINRA and state insurance regulations.
• Collaborate with internal teams for seamless client experiences and referrals.
• Pursue continuous professional development to enhance advisory expertise.

Education & Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• Active life, health, and securities licenses (Series 7, 66, or equivalent); Thrivent provides support to obtain these.
• 1-3 years of experience in financial services, sales, or client-facing roles.
• Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation or pursuit thereof is a plus.
• Demonstrated alignment with Thrivent’s Christian mission and values.
