The Opportunity :

We currently hiring have an exciting opportunity for a business development manager in Germany.

  • Proactively interact with customers and win new business for air freight, ocean freight, , sea-air freight, truck and rail  freight along with customs brokerage in any form;
  • Increase sales and volumes to achieve economies of scale and greater reliability of services;
  • Working independently with the Toll network to increase volumes on key trade lanes and verticals in line with the sales strategy;
  • All actions are always in line with the Toll Core Values, Policies and Guidelines;

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Completed apprenticeship as a forwarding agent or similar commercial training in Germany
  • completed studies in logistics or economics and/or at least 5 years of professional experience in air freight/sea freight/sales
  • a good command of written and spoken German
  • Foreign language: English ("very good to good" written and spoken) mandatory
  • Good understanding of numbers in dealing with analysis and statistics tools
  • Solid IT skills & correspondingly professional handling of internet media
  • Sound knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel, Word; PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote)
  • Confidence in conversation and correspondence. Open and professional interaction with customers, authorities, employees and colleagues nationally and internationally, at all levels
  • Driving license: Class B (3)

  • Research market opportunities, collaborate with teams, participate in RFPs, develop solutions/pricing, negotiate and close deals
  • Build relationships, represent company professionally at events, and use CRM for documentation
