The purpose of this role is to bring new accounts onboard for Toll Global Forwarding Singapore Sales & Marketing Team. (A hunter role)

Role Brief

  • Proactively interact and acquire new customers for ocean, air and customs brokerage.

  • Building strong and long-lasting relationships with new & existing customers in order to develop additional business opportunities.

  • Grow revenue and volume footprint to achieve economies of scale and service reliability.

  • Partner with the Toll network to increase volumes in key trade lanes & verticals in accordance with our Sales Strategy.

  • Engage with network on Global Account Development.

  • Represent Toll in line with our values and ethics (e.g. Safety, Integrity and Trust, Continuous Improvement).

The Opportunity

  • Grow the company's air and ocean freight services in alignment with the sales strategy; proactively interact and acquire new customers for ocean, air and customs brokerage.

  • Act as the primary sales contact for assigned customers; building strong and long-lasting relationships with new & existing customers in order to develop additional business opportunities.

  • Maintain a sales pipeline to meet growth targets; identify, develop, and convert leads into prospects and customers.

  • Utilize the Global CRM platform to document sales activities and customer details.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Research market trends and new opportunities, focusing on air and ocean freight.

  • 2-3 years of hunter experience in Business Development in Forwarding within the region.

  • Develop, update, and manage sales pipeline, prioritizing opportunities.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (Logistics, Business Development, etc.) to build the pipeline and win new business.

  • Participate in regional/local RFP/RFQ processes and identify customer needs.

  • Develop solutions, pricing, negotiate, and close deals with new customers.

  • Collect market information, support the Freight Forwarding Manager, and engage in training to stay current with market changes.
