Retail, Consumer & Auto (RCA) provides specialised contract warehouse and distribution services across industries including Consumer & Beverages, Specialty Retail, Automotive, and FMCG. We deliver robust and flexible logistics and warehouse distribution solutions in the third-party logistics (3PL) market.

About the Role
We are looking for a transport-focused Business Development Manager to accelerate growth in our Transport vertical. This is a strategic role for a proven business developer who thrives on winning new business and shaping innovative transport solutions. You’ll leverage our national network and assets to deliver tailored linehaul, bulk freight, and end-to-end logistics solutions for major customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new business acquisition in transport-heavy sectors such as FMCG, retail, automotive, and industrial.
  • Develop and execute growth strategies that expand our footprint in bulk freight and contract logistics.
  • Build market intelligence through competitor analysis and customer insights to identify emerging opportunities.
  • Collaborate with operations, pricing, and commercial teams to design customer-centric transport solutions.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and secure long-term contracts that deliver value for both customers and the business.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers and industry influencers.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

Qualification

  • A relevant university degree or equivalent (essential).

Skills and Experience

  • Proven success in business development within transport or logistics, with a track record of winning and growing major accounts.
  • Deep understanding of transport operations, including linehaul, 3PL, and warehousing.
  • Experience designing complex transport solutions and leading commercial engagements.
  • Strong financial acumen and previous exposure to commercial or pricing roles.
  • A well-established network of industry contacts across transport and logistics.
