The opportunity

The Customer Service Executive acts as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring smooth coordination of shipments and providing exceptional service throughout the logistics process. This role involves managing documentation, tracking shipments, resolving issues, and maintaining strong relationships with customers and carriers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shipment Coordination: Handle import/export and cross-trade shipments via air and sea freight. Arrange bookings with carriers and ensure timely pickup and delivery.

  • Customer Interaction: Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding rates, schedules, and shipment status. Provide accurate quotations and follow up on approvals.

  • Documentation & Compliance: Prepare and verify shipping documents (Bill of Lading, Airway Bill, invoices, etc.).Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and company policies.

  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve transit delays, customs issues, or other operational challenges. Communicate proactively with clients about any changes or disruptions.

  • Tracking & Reporting: Monitor shipments and update customers regularly on status. Maintain accurate records in the company’s system for all transactions.

  • Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams (Operations, Sales, Finance) and external partners (carriers, customs brokers).

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in any stream

  • Experience: 5-10 years in customer service within freight forwarding or logistics.

  • Strong knowledge of international shipping terms, documentation, and Incoterms.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and logistics software.

  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • Procurement and pricing as required
