Key Responsibilities:

Planning and Coordination:

   * Developing and implementing transportation plans and schedules.

   * Coordinating routes and deliveries to optimize efficiency.

   * Managing and allocating resources, including vehicles and personnel.

Regulatory Compliance:

   * Ensuring adherence to all relevant transportation regulations and safety standards.

   * Maintaining accurate records and documentation.

   * Staying up to date on changes in regulations.

Fleet Management:

   * Overseeing vehicle maintenance and inspections.

   * Managing vehicle inventory and procurement.

   * Monitoring fuel consumption and costs.

Personnel Management:

   * Supervising and training drivers and other transportation staff.

   * Scheduling staff and managing work hours.

   * Ensuring employee safety and well-being.

Cost Control:

   * Monitoring and controlling transportation costs.

   * Identifying and implementing cost-saving measures.

   * Negotiating contracts with suppliers and vendors.

Customer Service:

   * Ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.

   * Resolving customer complaints and issues.

   * Maintaining positive relationships with customers.

Performance Monitoring:

   * Tracking and analyzing transportation performance metrics.

   * Identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.

   * Using technology to improve operations.

Risk Management:

   * Developing and implementing risk management strategies.

   * Responding to and mitigating transportation incidents.
