The Total Rewards Manager position at PepsiCo in Purchase, New York, is a critical leadership role within the North America retirement agenda. This onsite position (also available in Plano, TX) supports the administration, compliance, and optimization of defined benefit (DB) plans in the U.S. and Puerto Rico, as well as the Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP). With PepsiCo managing approximately $20 billion in DB pension assets for 150,000 participants and 20,000 ESPP participants, this role demands precision, strategic insight, and cross-functional collaboration. Reporting to senior HR leadership, you'll partner with the Retirement Center of Excellence (CoE), Global HR Operations, IT, Treasury, Tax, Controls, and Legal to drive excellence in execution.
Lead day-to-day administration and compliance for U.S. and Puerto Rico DB plans and ESPP. Partner with vendors and stakeholders to manage programs, resolve issues, and optimize operations for efficiency and participant satisfaction.
Collaborate with the Retirement CoE on DB data enhancement projects and M&A initiatives. Lead implementations with a focus on flawless execution, delivering monthly progress updates and vendor scorecards to ensure accountability.
Oversee the Claims and Appeals process across DB and DC plans. Build and maintain the Operations Manual and Training/Documentation Library in partnership with the Communications CoE.
Contribute to the annual valuation process, provide audit support as a subject matter expert (SME), and manage an Associate Manager specializing in DB operations. Handle additional duties as assigned in this dynamic environment.
To succeed in this role, candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree and possess 8+ years of experience in actuarial, pension, or retirement services. A solid foundation in DB retirement plan operations, funding, valuations, and accounting is essential, complemented by deep actuarial expertise with U.S. pension plans. Demonstrated excellence in execution, high attention to detail, and organizational skills are non-negotiable. You should thrive independently in a fast-paced, high-volume setting, with the ability to identify problems, analyze issues, and recommend solutions swiftly. Strong financial acumen, project management, vendor management, and proficiency in MS PowerPoint and Excel are required. Excellent collaboration skills to build relationships across functions, plus Spanish proficiency, will set you apart.
