Role Overview

As the Traditional Channel Sales Manager (Jefe de Ventas Canal Tradicional) at PepsiCo in Asunción, Paraguay, you will lead sales efforts across the traditional channel nationwide. This full-time, 100% on-site role requires monthly travel to interior regions and focuses on driving sustainable growth, executing commercial strategies, and ensuring profitability. Reporting to sales leadership, you will collaborate with distributors, key clients, and cross-functional teams like Customer Service, Logistics, Trade Marketing, and Revenue Management to hit targets and expand market share in the competitive food and beverage sector.

Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic role, you will:

  • Manage comprehensive sales operations across all traditional channels in Paraguay, including regular travel (once per month) to support regional execution.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor commercial strategies aligned with PepsiCo policies to achieve sales volume, shelf space, and profitability objectives.
  • Negotiate key commercial agreements with clients in coordination with distributors.
  • Coordinate and control promotional plans, ensuring full compliance and execution.
  • Track and manage critical KPIs such as Gross Sales, D&A, SOM, and ROI through data analysis.
  • Identify market opportunities, monitor competitor activities, and report insights promptly.
  • Supervise distributor teams, including supervisors and salespeople, conducting periodic meetings and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee points of sale to ensure optimal product visibility and agreement fulfillment.
  • Collaborate with internal teams like CS, Logistics, Trade Marketing, Sales Planning, and Revenue to optimize volume, costs, and profits.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • A degree in Commercial, Engineering, Administration, or Marketing fields (preferred).
  • 1-3 years of experience in similar sales management roles (preferred).
  • Mandatory experience in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or major brands.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; Power BI knowledge is a plus.
  • Intermediate English skills (preferred).
  • A valid driver's license for nationwide travel.
