Description:
Cardiac Rehab Tech in the Respiratory Department at St Mary's Hospital. This is a PRN position-evening hours.

Position Summary: Oversee the day-to-day clinical aspects related to the services of Cardiac Rehab.  Implement and maintain the Cardiac Rehabilitation Phase 1 & 2 Program.

What you will do:

  • Duties include admitting, evaluating, educating, and monitoring the patient’s outcomes throughout the program for the patient to achieve optimal outcomes. 

  • Program accreditation/certification and all associated responsibilities involved in this process. 

  • Creating and maintaining a smoking cessation program for the inpatient population as well as the consumer interested in attending. 

  • Use of the Scott System. Includes printing appropriate stress test documentation, H&P, and lab data from EMR for patients.

  • Perform initial patient assessments (e.g., cardiovascular fitness, risk factors) and continuously monitor vitals during exercise sessions

  • Conduct EKGs, stress tests, and telemetry monitoring

What you will need:

  • BLS- thru American Heart Association

  • High School Diploma (or GED equivalent) Graduate of ECG/EKG Training program required (in house training available).

  • Clinical experience in EKG monitoring preferred
