Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire a Casting Technician

As a Casting tech at MercyOne, you will be responsible for escorting patients to casting area, and prepares them for application

· Applies, modifies, repairs, fits and removes casts, splints, braces and dressings, as directed by physician

· Educates patients about cast care and follow up instructions

· Ensures the proper maintenance, record keeping, and ordering of tools, equipment and/or inventory and provides training for nursing, ancillary staff, and students

· Replenishes supplies—stocks and cleans casting area

· Recommends equipment and inventory purchases to Manager

Position Title: Casting Tech
Department: Orthopedic Care

Schedule: 

  • Full time 1.0 (40 hours per week)

  • Day Shift

  

General Requirements 

  • 2 years experience in a physician clinic or hospital setting preferred

  • Registered or Certified Orthopedic Technician (ROT), experience in orthopedic care and medical assistant experience a plus

Education:   

  • High school graduation or equivalent required
