Description:

Position Purpose
The Dietary Services Manager plans, organizes, and manages daily operations of the Dietary Department within the PACE Organization (PO). This role oversees meal service, kitchen operations, and housekeeping functions to ensure safe, high-quality, and participant-centered nutrition services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Model and promote the Mission, Vision, Values, and Guiding Behaviors of Trinity Health and Trinity Health PACE.
  • Lead daily dietary operations while maintaining a warm, calm, and collaborative environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, organizational policies, and ethical standards.
  • Manage dietary budgets, expenditures, purchasing, inventory, and documentation.
  • Oversee food preparation, service, sanitation, portion control, and kitchen maintenance.
  • Ensure physician orders, therapeutic diets, and individualized nutrition plans are accurately followed.
  • Monitor meals for intake, diet compliance, and plate accuracy.
  • Supervise dietary aides, providing direction, training, and performance oversight.
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and other departments.
  • Participate in emergency preparedness, disaster recovery, training, and continuing education activities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum two (2) years of quantity food preparation experience in healthcare, hospitality, or retirement settings.
  • At least one (1) year of experience working with frail or elderly populations.
  • ServSafe Certification required or obtained within three (3) months of hire; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong business acumen, customer focus, conflict management skills, adaptability, and ability to work independently.
