The Endoscopy Technician, in accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; under the direction of a Registered Nurse, assists with the coordination of care for patients in the endoscopy department.

What you will do:

• Responsible for the preparation, maintenance and cleaning of equipment and supplies and assists in performing invasive endoscopic procedures
• Processes tissue and bodily fluids specimens
• Maintains the GI procedure area in a clean, safe condition. Ensures necessary equipment and supplies are available for procedures
• Acts as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalency required.
• Previous patient care experience and/or technical education in health-related field preferred
• Effective Communication Skills
• Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal relations skills.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
