Environmental Services Associate

Schedule: Evening – 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm (with every other weekend commitment)

Reports to: Manager Operations, Environmental Services

Position Purpose:

Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is seeking Full Time Environmental Service Associates to join our team!

What You Will Do:

• Trash tech and patient care area housekeeper

• The Environmental Service Associate promotes sanitary conditions, which prevents the spread of infection and odors.

• Demonstrates knowledge and efficient use of cleaning techniques, solutions, equipment and tools.

• Performs all cleaning and project assignments within area of responsibility or as directed by supervisor.

• Maintains equipment, tools and storage areas in clean, orderly and good operating conditions.

• Responds rapidly and thoroughly to emergencies, special needs, spills, etc.

• Exercises good judgment while working around patients and visitors.

• The Floor Tech is required to work every other weekend and every other major holiday.

Minimum Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or equivalency (required)
