Description:

POSITION PURPOSE:

This position will use face-to-face individual, group psychotherapy, and family-focused behavioral health management techniques to provide assessment and behavioral health supports. Community Treatment Teams (CTT) is the highest level of outpatient care with opportunities to serve the neediest in the community through an evidence-based approach.   

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Participate in Treatment Team meetings, including collaboration with psychiatrists and other agency staff.
  • Ability to develop treatment plans based on consumers stage of change for identified problems and needs
  • Ability to implement stage wise treatment interventions as well as exercise sound clinical judgment in routine, urgent, and emergent clinical situations
  • Attend court, local magistrate hearings and advocate for person served.
  • Coordinate with parole and probation officers.
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed and assist clients to develop natural and community-based support systems.
  • Exercise clinical judgment in initiating services and follow up as appropriate.
  • Working Knowledge and understanding of medication used in treating psychiatric disorders
  • Deliver medications throughout Allegheny County to persons served residences
  • Provide on call services on a rotating basis - $200/day reimbursement

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s Degree in Human Services (sociology, social work, psychology, criminal justice, gerontology, counseling, education) and 1 year of paid human services experience OR bachelor’s degree in Human Services (sociology, social work, psychology, criminal justice, gerontology, counseling, education) and 3 years of human service experience.
  • Act 33/34/73 clearances.
  • Pre-employment Drug Screen
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to drive an organization vehicle/van

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS/BENEFITS:

WORK SCHEDULE: This is an Exempt (salary) position.  Primarily Monday through Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm, with rotating evening shift (1p-9p) as part of a team on a fixed schedule.  Some weekends and holidays may be required.  On Call services are required and rotate as part of a team.
