Join our team as a Medication Historian, where you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring patients receive safe, accurate care from the moment they arrive. You’ll be the first point of contact in gathering complete and precise medication histories for patients in the Emergency Department and inpatient units—helping clinicians make informed, life‑saving decisions.
What you will do:
In this fast‑paced, people‑focused role, you will:
Engage with patients and families to collect accurate home medication lists, including prescriptions, OTCs, and supplements
Identify drug allergies and reactions through effective, compassionate interviews
Collaborate with pharmacies, physician offices, and care teams to verify information
Reconcile medication lists, enter data into the system, and support seamless clinical workflows
Represent our mission and core values through every interaction—providing exceptional service to patients, families, and staff

What you will need:
Education: High School Diploma required.
Licensure: Licensed by the Indiana State Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician.
Experience:
Four (4) years' experience as a pharmacy technician preferred. Ambulatory or retail experience preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with people from diverse backgrounds and at all levels within the medical center and in the community.
Ability to create and foster a cooperative teamwork environment.
Basic computer skills, electronic data entry.
Knowledge of commonly used prescription drugs including brand/generic names, available dosages, frequencies and indications.
