Description:

Eddy Village Green at Beverwyck is seeking a compassionate LPN or RN to join our weekend team, working every Saturday and Sunday or every other weekend, 3pm–11pm. This unique setting follows the Green House® model, featuring two ranch‑style homes, each with 12 residents, for a total of 24 elders. Nurses enjoy a smaller, person-centered care environment.

Why Join Eddy Village Green?

A Green House® Model Community
Our two ranch-style homes promote autonomy, dignity, and relationship-based care. Each home includes private rooms, private baths, and a family-style kitchen and living/dining area. This model empowers elders to maintain their routines and supports meaningful connections between nurses, C.N.A.s, and residents.

What Makes the Green House® Model Different

Eddy Village Green at Beverwyck is part of a culture-changing approach in long-term care:

  • Home, Not Facility:
Each ranch-style home includes private bedrooms/bathrooms, a family-style kitchen, and a shared living/dining area, creating a warm, residential environment rather than a traditional nursing unit.
  • Empowered Care Teams:
Nurses and C.N.A.s work in a collaborative, flattened hierarchy. C.N.A.s (Shahbazim in Green House language) take on expanded roles in daily life, and nurses serve as mentors, clinical guides, and partners.
  • Relationship-Based Care:
Small home size allows staff to form deeper, more individualized relationships with residents, supporting emotional well‑being and reducing burnout.
  • Better Outcomes:
Green House communities are known nationally for higher resident satisfaction, improved quality metrics, and increased staff engagement.

Position Highlights

  • Quality of Life: A workplace where professional growth and personal well-being align.
  • Advancement: Strong orientation program, tuition assistance, and career development opportunities.
  • Work/Life Balance: Weekend-only shifts ideal for those with weekday commitments, full-time work, or school.
  • Smaller Assignments: Never more than 24 residents, reducing burnout and allowing deeper connections.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, effective nursing care, including medication administration and treatments for up to 24 residents across two Green House homes.
  • Serve as a clinical coach, supporting and guiding C.N.A. staff (and LPNs, if an RN).
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teammates to ensure a high standard of resident-centered care.
  • Walk between two side-by-side houses on campus to cover residents within assigned care areas.
  • Support the Green House philosophy by honoring resident preferences, rhythms, and routines.

What you will need:

Required:

  • Current NYS license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Associate degree in Nursing or diploma from an accredited nursing program

Preferred:

  • 1 year or more of experience in a skilled nursing setting as a RN or LPN (not required)

LPN Salary: $24.00 - $31.10/hour

RN Salary: $33.10 - $45.75/hour

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.

Our Commitment

Rooted in our Mission and Core Values, we honor the dignity of every person and recognize the unique perspectives, experiences, and talents each colleague brings. By finding common ground and embracing our differences, we grow stronger together and deliver more compassionate, person-centered care. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
