MercyOne Genesis is seeking a BC/BE Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join our dynamic team at our level 3 trauma center. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in orthopedic trauma care. The position offers the opportunity to work on complex cases in a high-energy environment. Our practice is committed to providing exceptional care to our diverse patient population, with a focus on innovative and evidence-based approaches to orthopedic surgery. Position Highlights:

  • Level 3 Trauma Center 
  • 100% inpatient, 8-5 M-F, shared evening and weekend call (1:8) 
  • Postoperative clinic support provided 
  • Dedicated Advanced practice support 
  • Dedicated trauma OR blocks 
  • Excellent infrastructure and collaboration across trauma, orthopedics, anesthesia, and critical care teams 
     

Qualifications: 

  • DO or MD 
  • Fellowship-trained in either Adult Reconstruction/Total Joint Arthroplasty or Orthopedic Traumatology. 
  • ABOS BE/BC in the United States 
  • Ability to acquire Iowa & Illinois medical licensure 
  • Strong clinical and surgical skills with a commitment to excellence in patient care. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. 
  • Graduating fellows and experienced BC physicians encouraged to apply 
     

Compensation and benefit package: 

  • 2-year guarantee of $739,410 plus production starting at 10,650 wRVUs, straight production at start of year 3. 
  • Earning potential of $1million plus 
  • Recruitment incentive $100,000 
  • Relocation assistance up to $15,000 
  • Generous paid time of consisting of 4 weeks of vcation time, 1 week CME, & 6 paid holidays 
  • $6,000 annual CME allowance 
  • Professional liability insurance 
  • Health, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, 401k with match and 457(b) 
  • Autonomy to build the practice you desire, while enjoying the benefits of employment through a medical group and working in a cohesive team environment.
