Description:
St. Mary Medical Center, a member of Trinity Health Mid Atlantic, is seeking a full-time Patient Transporter to join our Team.

Position: Transporter

Schedule:  Full Time (40 hours/week) 
Shift:  Evenings          

**flexibility to work e/o weekend/holiday as scheduled or assigned

Responsibilities:

  • Transports patients on stretchers, beds and wheelchairs from one area of the hospital to designated area within the hospital campus, maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for the patient being transported.

  • Cooperatively assists in lifting patients in and out of bed as requested, exercising proper lifting techniques.

  • Promptly reports any concerns of patients and/or happenings during transport to appropriate personnel.

  • Cleans wheelchairs and ensures each area has an adequate number.

  • Observes for and reports safety hazards and broken vehicles to the Lead Transporter for immediate repair.

What You Need:

  • HS diploma or equivalency (required)

  • CPR Certification - issued by AHA (completed during onboarding if offered a position)

  • Fingerprint & Child Abuse History Clearance (completed during onboarding if offered a position)
