Sunnyview Rehab Hospital/Utica University - Neuro-Clinical Residency Program

Position to start August 2026

Sunnyview has a wonderful opportunity for a Physical Therapist (licensed or recent graduate) interested in Neuro. In this position, the PT will work in a residency program in collaboration with Utica University to help prepare you to become a Neurologic Clinical Specialist. This is a 1 year long residency program.

What you will do:

  • The PT in the Clinical Neuro Residency program will spend 7 months in an Inpatient role and 5 months in an Outpatient role
  • This residency includes rotations on our inpatient units working with CVA, SCI, and TBI inpatient as well as outpatient neurologic rotation.
  • The didactic portion of the neurologic residency is completed online through the NeuroConsortium.

What you will need:

  • Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy program with a Bachelor of Science, Master’s degree or Clinical Doctorate of physical therapy degree. 
  • Current NYS Physical Therapy license OR Limited Permit
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and written

Pay Range is residency position based-75% of experience-based pay range which is: $37.60-$47.60 (75%=$28.20-35.70)

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.”
