  • 4x10's

  • 6:30am-5pm

  • Monday - Friday with a flexible/rotating day off

  • Area: Radiation Oncology

  • Location: Maywood, IL

About the Job

In this role, the Radiation Therapy Tech is responsible for the simulation, treatment planning, and administration of a prescribed course of radiation therapy to deliver quality care to patients in a therapeutic setting. The therapists also perform quality checks on the machines, participates in quality improvement initiatives. Maintains accurate and concise records, daily billing and other related documentations.

What you'll do

  • Responsible to start and maintain a course of radiation therapy with minimal risk and complications.

  • Administers daily radiation therapy treatments, checks prescriptions, information in Aria and other related systems, ID patients correctly, explains procedures to patients, prepares rooms & patients for treatment, maintains patient's markings.

Here's what you'll need

Minimum Required:

  • ARRT (RT) Approved Radiation Oncology Therapy License

  • Associate degree in an approved Radiology program

  • Less than one year of previous job-related experience

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 1-2 years of previous job-related experience

Licensure/Certifications

Required:

  • CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) by American Heart Association only

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)

  • Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA)

Pay Range: $40.00 - $59.92 per hour
