About the Role

As a Maintenance Mechanic I, you’ll play a key role in keeping our machinery, equipment, and facilities in top working condition. You’ll handle routine preventative maintenance, assist with repairs, and help ensure a safe, efficient, and productive work environment. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on experience who wants to grow their technical skill set and be part of a supportive team.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform regular preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, tools, and the facility.

  • Assist with repairs on woodworking machinery, infeed/outfeed systems, hand tools, and forklifts—using diagrams, manuals, and manufacturer specs.

  • Help track, order, and organize necessary supplies and parts.

  • Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.

  • Follow all established safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.

  • Participate in safety, continuous improvement (CI), and department meetings.

  • (If assigned to the Treating Department) Follow all hazardous waste and hazardous material handling procedures.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • At least 1 year of experience in machine repair or industrial maintenance.

  • Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, control systems, and basic welding.

  • Understanding of safe equipment practices and applicable rules and regulations.

  • Familiarity with hazardous waste/material handling procedures.

  • Must be at least 18 years old.

 

Hourly Pay Range:  $26.00 - $28.00 per hour dependent on experience*
