Then come and join our global team as Ultra-High Field MR Application Developer (f/m/d), to support and enhance our application development in the field of Ultra-High Field Magnetic Resonance.

You join a team dedicated to translating magnetic resonance research into clinical routine for our Ultra-High Field MR scanner. You work closely with experts in MR image acquisition, image processing, and clinical workflow, as well as with international collaboration partners. You help expand our application development in Neuro, MSK, and body imaging, with a particular focus on body applications.

Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.

Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries.


Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • In this position, you will be at the core of our application development for our Ultra-High Field MR scanners and develop own 7T applications from initial prototype to final product.
  • You will drive our activities with our global UHF clinical community and be responsible for customer relationships within this community.
  • Your ideas matter – you will scout new methods and trends and discuss them within the team.
  • You will evaluate new features with regards to clinical usability and clinical added value for future productization. This includes tasks from continuous collection of feedback from collaboration partners to support the preparation and tracking progress of clinical studies.
  • Your tasks span from 7T application development, protocol optimization, and image quality evaluation to testing and documentation of new features.

Your qualifications and experience:

  • You hold a completed degree in physics, medical informatics, signal or image processing, biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • You have long-term professional experience in the field of MRI, ideally in 7T MRI.
  • Alternatively, you have a PhD with additionally several years of experience in this field.
  • You have profound experience in the development of MR sequences, image reconstruction, and protocol preparation.
  • You are proficient in programming and tools such as C++, IDEA, ICE, Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Matlab, and have expertise in data analysis and visualization.


Your attributes and skills:

  • You have excellent communication skills and are fluent in English.
  • You have excellent organizational skills with a high degree of autonomy, process orientation, and attention to detail, while being creative at finding solutions through interpersonal communication.
  • You are passionate about healthcare innovation.
