Responsibilities
- Monitoring and Administration of Backup environments running on various enterprise solutions such as CommVault, NetBackup, Rubrik, Druva, Veeam, cloud native backups etc.
- Troubleshoot backup failures and technical issues in the above environments. Drive them to Resolution.
- Work on Incident management, Change Management and Problem management as per ITIL Standards and agreed SLAs
- Generate and analyze the various Backup Reports.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing updates on key accomplishments and any challenges or issues.
- Escalate to Senior Members and/or Vendors on deep technical issues and work with them through the resolution.
- Identify the recurring issues and create the problem incidents to find the root cause of the event.
- Perform Backup Assessments and Audits. Report on the findings, propose plans and implement them to bridge gaps.
- Track Backup Systems’ Capacity and Propose Appropriate Measures proactively.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of backup configurations, procedures, and policies.
- Familiarize yourself with automation tools and scripting languages to streamline routine tasks and improve efficiency.
- Work with other cross-functional teams to provide seamless Service Delivery.
- Act as liaison between peer support teams, customers and vendors.
- Handle Technical Escalations from Level 1 teams.
