The Data Center Technician is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, network devices, and other data center equipment. They also perform routine hardware diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs.
A BA/BS degree OR equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 3-4 years of experience in a data center or IT support role is also necessary.
Essential skills include experience in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of servers, storage systems, and network equipment. Understanding of TCP/IP, routers, switches, and structured cabling is also crucial.
The Data Center Technician works on-site in a secure data center environment. Travel may be required to support other client data centers. Evening or weekend work may be required for maintenance windows or emergencies.
The Data Center Technician participates in on-call rotation and responds to incidents as needed.
