BASIC PURPOSE
To provide a safe and reliable fleet by assisting maintenance.

We are looking for a Garage Helper who relish the chance to push their potential, grow and reap the rewards of joining the US FOODS® family.  

Schedule: Monday thru Friday - 7:30 am to 3:30 pm

Compensation: $21.00 per hour

Main Ingredients of the Job! 

As a US FOODS® Garage Helper your responsibilities will include, but not limited to, washing trucks; safely driving trucks/trailers throughout the lot; janitorial duties; and assisting mechanics.  US Foods Garage Helpers hourly rate is $22.21 per hour.

Great Garage Helpers are crucial to the US FOODS® team and one of the important faces of our organization. Our Garage Helpers strive for integrity and reliability, while building trusting relationships with team members. 

What you bring to the table 

Education/Training: 

• High School education or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have valid driver's license.
• Previous mechanical experience a plus. 
• Class A CDL is a plus but NOT REQUIRED.

Related Experience/Requirements:   

• Any previous mechanical experience is desirable. 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:  

• Must be willing to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions.
• Knowledge of equipment repair and operation.
• Able to repair and overhaul warehouse equipment desirable.
• Welding ability desired.
• Able to read and write legibly.
• Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
• Able to work autonomously.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $19.00 and $23.00 per hour.

As applicable, this role will also  receive: overtime compensation.
