The Utilities Maintenance Engineer position at PepsiCo in Giza, Egypt, is a critical role ensuring the seamless operation of essential industrial utilities. You will maintain high-efficiency equipment including Waste Water Treatment systems, Boilers, Compressors, Chillers, AHUs, Power Houses, Transformers, and MDPs. This full-time role demands technical expertise, leadership, and a commitment to safety and sustainability, aligning with PepsiCo's pep+ goals.
As part of our world-class manufacturing team, you'll lead maintenance efforts, optimize performance, and implement industry-leading systems like TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and EMS (Environmental Management System). This position offers hands-on involvement in projects, contractor oversight, and strategic spare parts management, making it ideal for engineers passionate about industrial reliability and team development.
Maintain all utilities equipment within required efficiency levels while strictly applying maintenance procedures to ensure people and equipment safety. Monitor and enhance performance through updated Preventive Maintenance (PM) programs.
Lead and support the maintenance team administratively and technically on a daily basis. Raise team skills via internal technical training and coach new members to foster a high-performing workforce.
Achieve and analyze key maintenance performance indicators (KPIs), issue periodic reports, and follow up on weekly energy consumption to drive continuous improvement.
Implement AIBI (American Institute of Baking Industry Audit), TPM, EMS, ERP (Employee Risk Protection), and PEMM programs. Control maintenance expenses weekly, cooperate with purchasing on technical issues, and revise spare parts strategies annually.
Participate in project planning, follow up on contractors' performance ensuring quality and specifications compliance, and conduct annual reviews of equipment fixed assets registry.
To excel as a Utilities Maintenance Engineer at PepsiCo, candidates must hold an Engineering degree in Electromechanical or Electrical major. Proficiency in PLC systems, preferably Allen Bradley, is essential. A minimum of 2 years' experience in the industrial utilities field is required.
