Key Responsibilities at MongoDB

• Plan and execute end-to-end UX research projects with mentorship from senior researchers, defining questions, methods, and timelines for MongoDB Atlas improvements.
• Conduct diverse research studies including user interviews, field studies, surveys, competitive analyses, card sorting, and live A/B testing with MongoDB customers.
• Recruit and manage participants for studies targeting developers using NoSQL databases and modern data platforms.
• Analyze data and translate insights into actionable recommendations for product managers, designers, and engineers building MongoDB features.
• Present findings to stakeholders across design, product, and engineering teams to drive customer-centric decisions.
• Collaborate on prototyping with design/engineering to create testable artifacts for usability research.
• Apply usability heuristics to evaluate MongoDB interfaces and contribute to intuitive developer experiences.
• Support MongoDB's innovation by understanding user motivations, needs, and goals in the database ecosystem.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Pursuing a Master's degree in User Research, Human Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Cognitive Psychology, Digital Media Design, or related fields.
• Graduation timeline: Fall 2026 or Spring 2027 with at least one quarter/semester remaining post-internship.
• Work authorization: Eligible to work in Ireland (sponsorship may be available).
