As a Commercial Account Executive focused on the East region, you'll be instrumental in expanding our footprint in the Commercial segment through new logo acquisition. This is a high-impact, new business sales role that requires a results-driven individual capable of closing significant deals.
Your day will involve a mix of strategic planning, direct customer engagement, and cross-functional collaboration. You’ll start by reviewing your pipeline, identifying key opportunities, and strategizing on how to advance them. A significant portion of your day will be spent engaging with prospective clients – understanding their needs, demonstrating the value of Vanta, and addressing their concerns. You’ll also collaborate with solution engineers and GRC specialists to tailor our offerings to meet specific client requirements. Expect to dedicate time to outbound prospecting, leveraging various channels to identify and engage potential customers. Forecasting and pipeline management will also be a regular part of your routine, ensuring accurate reporting and consistent progress toward your quota.
Being on our East team and located east of (and including) MS, TN, KY, and MI allows you to tap into a vibrant market with a high concentration of businesses that can benefit from Vanta's security and compliance solutions. This strategic location provides easier access to key decision-makers and enables you to build stronger relationships with clients and partners in the region. Working remotely offers flexibility and autonomy, allowing you to manage your time effectively and create a work environment that suits your needs. This combination of market opportunity and work-life balance makes this role particularly appealing.
This role offers a clear path for career advancement within Vanta. Successful Commercial Account Executives can progress to Senior Account Executive roles, where they'll manage larger and more complex deals. From there, opportunities exist to move into leadership positions, such as Sales Manager or Director of Sales, where you'll be responsible for leading and developing a team of Account Executives. Vanta also encourages internal mobility, so there may be opportunities to transition into other departments, such as Product Management or Customer Success, based on your interests and skills. Continuous learning and development are prioritized, ensuring you have the resources and support needed to reach your full potential.
