CPQ Lead at Vanta: Streamlining Growth Through Strategic Quoting

Role Overview

As the CPQ Lead, you will own the entire Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) ecosystem. You will be responsible for the vision, strategy, and execution of this critical area, ensuring our quoting, pricing, and contracting workflows are accurate, efficient, and user-friendly as we scale. You'll work closely with Revenue Operations, Sales, Finance, Deal Desk, Product, Engineering, and Legal to build a modern, automated CPQ experience tightly integrated with Salesforce and downstream systems.

A Day in the Life

Here's a glimpse into what your day might look like:

  • Morning: You'll start by reviewing CPQ analytics to identify areas for improvement. This might involve analyzing quote volume, approval cycle times, or discounting trends. You'll then meet with the Revenue Operations team to discuss upcoming product releases and how they'll impact the CPQ system.
  • Afternoon: You'll collaborate with the Sales team to gather feedback on the current quoting process and identify pain points. You'll then work with the Engineering team to design and implement solutions to address these issues. This might involve building new Salesforce Flows or configuring Nue CPQ settings.
  • Late Afternoon: You'll meet with the Legal team to review contract templates and ensure they're aligned with current regulations. You'll also work with the Deal Desk to optimize the deal approval process and ensure it's efficient and compliant.
