The Role: Engineering Manager, Evaluation Platform

The Evaluation Platform team owns one of the most critical and widely-used features on the Vanta platform—Tests. Vanta Tests give customers visibility into their compliance posture, automatically collect audit evidence, and provide clear remediation guidance. Our team is responsible for the complete lifecycle of Tests, from configuration and execution to managing test outcomes and driving customer action.

We're scaling our execution infrastructure and building the next generation of test personalization while exploring AI-powered solutions for test creation and intelligent remediation workflows. This is a high-visibility role where you'll lead a team building platform features that directly impact both our internal engineering teams and our customers' daily experience with Vanta.

As an Engineering Manager, you'll be responsible for setting strategy, leading your team to deliver results consistently and sustainably, growing and developing talented engineers, and cultivating a healthy, results-driven culture on your team.

What You'll Do

• Drive significant impact for our customers and business by leading your team to deliver results consistently and sustainably
• Build a best-in-class engineering team by coaching, mentoring, and creating an environment where your team can do their best work

A Day in the Life

As an Engineering Manager on the Evaluation Platform team, your day will be varied and challenging. Here's a glimpse:

• Morning: Start with a team stand-up to discuss progress, roadblocks, and priorities. Review key metrics and dashboards to monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Mid-day: Meet with product managers and designers to refine requirements for upcoming features. Participate in technical design reviews, providing guidance and ensuring alignment with Vanta's overall architecture.
• Afternoon: Dedicate time to coaching and mentoring your team members. Conduct one-on-one meetings to discuss career goals, provide feedback, and address any challenges. Work on long term planning.
