The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Monetization platform team to reimagine Vanta’s customer lifecycle infrastructure by unifying entitlement management, usage tracking, and billing into a cohesive platform. These systems form the critical foundation for how customers purchase, access, and manage Vanta's products.

This role offers the unique opportunity to build systems that directly impact Vanta's growth trajectory while solving technically interesting distributed systems problems at the intersection of product, finance, and sales.

Role Overview

As the Engineering Manager for the Monetization team, you will be responsible for leading a team of talented engineers in building and scaling Vanta's core monetization systems. You will define and execute the technical strategy for a unified monetization platform, ensuring it integrates seamlessly with Finance and GTM Ops. You'll empower other product teams by platformizing entitlements, purchasing, and billing through scalable APIs and reusable UX components. Your focus will be on championing operational excellence, promoting strong engineering practices, and maintaining high reliability as the team grows.

A Day in the Life

Your day-to-day activities will include:

  • Meeting with your team to discuss project progress, address roadblocks, and provide guidance.
  • Collaborating with product managers and other stakeholders to define and prioritize features for the monetization platform.
  • Reviewing code and providing feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
  • Participating in architectural discussions and contributing to the technical roadmap.
  • Mentoring and coaching engineers to help them grow their skills and advance their careers.
  • Identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks and scalability challenges.
  • Working with the recruiting team to attract and hire top engineering talent.
