The Cloud, Code, and Security (CCS) is a nascent team within the Automation Organization at Vanta. CCS owns customer-facing outcomes related to how companies use their cloud-related data. We build and operate product surfaces, backend systems, and integrations to enable upmarket and downmarket users to accomplish a wide range of compliance jobs. As a Software Engineer on CCS, you will play a pivotal role in chartering this team, working closely with product and design to bring novel product experiences alive for some of our most discerning customers.

A Day in the Life

As a Fullstack Software Engineer in the Cloud, Code, and Security team, your day will involve:

• Collaborating with product managers and designers to define and refine product requirements.
• Designing and implementing new features for Vanta's platform using TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
• Working on backend systems and integrations to ensure seamless data flow and compliance verification.
• Participating in code reviews to maintain high code quality and share knowledge with the team.
• Troubleshooting and resolving production issues as part of an on-call rotation.
• Contributing to the team's culture and processes, helping to establish best practices for software development.
• Using AI tools to assist with code generation, testing, and documentation.
• Attending daily stand-up meetings to provide updates on your progress and identify any roadblocks.
