Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day will involve hands-on coding and strategic leadership:

• Design, develop, and rigorously test software applications or systems using Python and TypeScript to ensure reliability and performance.
• Produce high-quality, well-tested code incorporating modern abstractions and frameworks for efficient backend operations.
• Deepen your expertise in product areas, codebase, and interconnected systems to drive informed decisions.
• Leverage proficiency in data analysis, advanced programming, and software engineering best practices.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with teams, sharing innovations and incorporating feedback to elevate the platform.
• Architect systems prioritizing scalability, maintainability, and future product evolution.
• Champion code quality through thorough reviews, ensuring consistency and adherence to architectural principles.
• Proactively identify issues and drive transformative changes across codebases, products, and systems.
• Independently ship new features to production via iterative development cycles.
• Explore and integrate AI tools to streamline and enhance daily development workflows.
• Partner with stakeholders to craft superior customer experiences in the self-serve portal.
• Oversee SaaS customer lifecycle management, from onboarding to advanced configurations.

Qualifications

To excel in this senior backend engineer role at Veriff, you need:

• 5+ years building large-scale applications with proven impact.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Python and/or Node.js using TypeScript; eagerness to master both.
• Demonstrated ownership of key components, features, or entire systems.
• Track record of developing, debugging, and shipping products on massive codebases.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical field.
• Product-oriented mindset combined with elite engineering skills.

Salary & Benefits

Veriff offers competitive compensation reflecting your seniority and expertise. Expect a salary range of $95,000 - $135,000 USD annually, adjusted for location and experience, plus performance incentives.
