Working remotely from Tallinn, Madrid, or São Paulo, you'll join our Platform Area team—the backbone of Veriff's technical success. Key Responsibilities

As a senior platform engineer, your impact will span technical leadership, system architecture, and team development:

• System Architecture: Design high-performance systems handling millions of daily verifications with 99.99% uptime guarantees.
• Scalability Leadership: Build horizontally scalable microservices using Node.js/TypeScript, Python, and Golang.
• Mentorship: Guide junior engineers through code reviews, technical workshops, and career development planning.
• Infrastructure Ownership: Manage AWS deployments, Kubernetes clusters, and Terraform configurations for zero-downtime releases.
• Performance Optimization: Profile and optimize database queries (PostgreSQL), message queues (RabbitMQ), and ML inference pipelines.
• End-to-End Delivery: Collaborate with Product and Design teams to ship features from ideation to production monitoring.
• Security Implementation: Embed security best practices handling sensitive identity data across global jurisdictions.
• Platform Evolution: Drive technical roadmaps adapting to regulatory changes and market innovations.
• Debugging Expertise: Troubleshoot complex distributed system failures under production pressure.

Qualifications & Requirements

We're seeking proven senior engineers with deep platform experience:

• 5+ years building large-scale, distributed applications processing high-volume traffic
• Extensive Node.js/TypeScript expertise in production microservices environments
• Demonstrated ownership of mission-critical components or systems
• Track record shipping complex features on 1M+ LOC codebases
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform infrastructure orchestration
• Strong database skills (PostgreSQL) and messaging systems (RabbitMQ)
• Frontend proficiency with React/TypeScript for full-stack capabilities
• ML integration experience with Python-based models
