Job Description

What’s it all about?

This role is pivotal in bridging strategy and execution for Visa Direct. You will lead the development and continuous refinement of product taxonomy, capability maps, and business architecture frameworks. You will collaborate across functions to deliver strategic change, support programme delivery, and enable scalable operating models—ensuring Visa Direct’s offerings are clearly defined, interoperable, and aligned with client needs.

• Documenting product taxonomy and Visa Direct product catalogue.
• Designing and implementing business capability maps.
• Leveraging data for analysis and solve risks and issues through collaborative partnerships with business stakeholders and functional teams.
• Formulating actionable plans to address business challenges and opportunities.
• Collaborating with stakeholders, strategy, and product teams to understand the business strategy and ensure to roadmaps are aligned to this.

• Collecting data and insights to help assess how the proposed business solutions will fit into Visa Direct overall business architecture and understand/mitigate the impact on the business.
• Identifying synergies and overlaps in business capabilities as well as services offered to clients and help derive solutions that will streamline both Visa capabilities and customer satisfaction.

What we expect of you, day to day.

This role will report to the Business Architect Lead and will be responsible for implementing the business architectural changes to enhance efficiency and productivity. The business architect analyst will collaborate with product and technology to help translate the business strategy to necessary business outcomes and technical deliverables.

• Develop, document, and maintain the Visa Direct product taxonomy and catalogue, ensuring alignment with central Visa taxonomy and business priorities.
• Drive taxonomy consistency across CRM, catalogues, and internal tools, enabling unified terminology and efficient data usage.
• Design, document, and maintain business capability maps for Visa Direct, identifying overlaps, synergies, and opportunities for interoperability.
• Shape and deliver solutions by leveraging existing assets and new ideas to address evolving client needs.
• Provide hands-on business architecture expertise for priority programmes, including issue prioritisation, process mapping, requirements definition frameworks, and change impact analysis.
• Facilitate workshops and cross-functional sessions to gather requirements, frame challenges, and co-develop actionable plans.
• Build strong relationships with product, technology, commercial, and central teams to ensure alignment and readiness for change.
• Partner across functions to define current and future states, co-develop transition plans, and support implementation of strategic initiatives.
• Monitor and measure the impact of changes on business operations, driving continual improvement and scalability.
• Promote and facilitate the use of common capabilities, processes, and practices across the organisation.
• Keep up to date with the latest business architecture trends and emerging technologies.
• Educate and socialise taxonomy, catalogue, and business architecture frameworks across Visa Direct teams.

This is a hybrid position based in London Paddington office. This requires 3 days per week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays) attendance in the London office.

Qualifications

What we’re after…

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience such as strategic consultant, product management, or business analyst
• Ability to assess, plan, design, build and recommend improvements.
• Able to lead cross functional discussions and provide direction on approach to others.
• Concrete experience developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, facilitating communication and collaboration.
• Problem solving mindset to solution direction and alternative approaches.
• The ability to work with ambiguity, frequent change, or unpredictability.
• Demonstrable experience being able to abstract and analyse business information to create a conceptual view of processes and functions.
• To be able to identify overlaps and synergies in business processes, aiming at increased efficiency.
• Proven ability to leverage abstract thinking abilities to generate innovative ideas and solutions.
• To be able to bridge the gap between various stakeholder perspectives and business functions by developing clear, high-level, and actionable solutions.
• Previous experience translating complex business concepts and operations into clear and succinct reports.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Financial services experience (particularly payments).
• Broad and demonstrable experience of working with a diverse set of stakeholders, applying technology capability for business benefit.
• Ability to leverage experience in analysing relevant data and assessing implications of alternatives, identifying decision options and points, predicting their potential impact.
• Good blend of business and technical savviness.
• Demonstrable experience in developing and maintaining taxonomies, capability maps, and business architecture frameworks.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional discussions, facilitate workshops, and drive strategic change.
