The Opportunity:  

We are looking for talented, curious, and energetic Software Engineers who embrace solving complex challenges on a global scale.  As a Visa Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of a cross-functional development team inventing, designing, building, and testing software products that reach a truly global customer base. While building components of cutting-edge payment technology, you will get to see your efforts shaping the digital future of monetary transactions.  

The Work itself:  

• Design code and systems that touch 40% of the world population while influencing Visa’s internal standards for scalability, security, and reusability 
• Collaborate cross-functionally to create design artifacts and develop best-in-class software solutions for multiple Visa technical offerings  
• Actively contribute to product quality improvements, value added service technology, and new business flows in diverse agile squads  
• Develop robust and scalable products intended for a myriad of customers including end-user merchants, b2b, and business to government solutions  
• Leverage innovative technologies to build the next generation of Payment Services, Transaction Platforms, Real-Time Payments 
• Opportunities to make a difference on a global or local scale through mentorship and continued learning opportunities  

 Essential Functions:  

• Works under close guidance to implement basic enhancements and modifications to existing software that complies with design specifications and meets security best practices
• Learns about automations that improve effectiveness and efficiency of systems and tools
• Engages with team members to receive feedback on code
• Follows instructions from manager to implement improvements to code, processes, and designs with and understands customer/business objectives
• Leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to optimize code performance, enhance system automation, and deliver smarter solutions that meet evolving business and user needs.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
Master's Degree OR Bachelor's degree OR relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications:
Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in engineering, or Computer Science, Information Systems or related field OR directly related work experience.
Technical Expertise: Experience developing back-end code (e.g., Python, Java, C++, PHP) and APIs for software applications. Knowledge of database software for maintaining and manipulating data. Understanding of systems integration processes and data structures for efficient operations
Growth & Innovation Mindset: Curiosity and passion for technology, comfort in challenging traditional solutions, and a drive to learn modern tools like Angular, React, Kubernetes, and Docker.
Problem-Solving: Ability to approach problems logically and creatively, asking questions and seeking solutions.
Collaboration: Willingness to work in a team, share ideas, and learn from peers and mentors.
Adaptability: Openness to feedback, learning new technologies, and adapting to changing priorities.
Learning Mindset: Constant drive to learn new technologies such as Angular, React, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.

This role qualifies for Autorskie Koszty Uzyskania Przychodu (KUP), in accordance with applicable Polish tax regulations. Eligible employees may benefit from preferential tax treatment on income derived from the creation of intellectual property, subject to meeting statutory criteria.
