Job Description

CyberSource Corporation, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Software Engineer – Sr. Consultant level (multiple openings) in Bellevue, WA to:

• Design, develop and support large scale enterprise software applications and machine learning based chat assistants using programming languages like Java and Python.
• Optimize database components such as schemas queries and stored procedures to ensure data security, integrity, performance and scalability.
• Gather requirements and architect technical solutions to engage and enhance end user experience.
• Perform code and design reviews of peer engineers.
• Implement functional quality assurance, debug software issues, deploy code to production environments and provide technical support.
• Mentor junior engineers in software development standards and practices.
• Position reports to the Bellevue, Washington office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related field, followed by 8 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a software engineer-related occupation.
• Alternatively, a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a software engineer-related occupation.
• Position requires experience in the following skills:
  • Design and develop highly scalable Artificial Intelligence (AI) enabled solutions using GenAI tools like ChatGPT, Rasa open source, Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Develop server-side applications using Python, Java and C++ for Machine Learning (ML) based product development.
  • Develop front-end code utilizing React JS, HTML and CSS to create optimal user experiences through effective User Interface (UI) designs.
  • Design and implement RESTful Application Program Interfaces (APIs), which are routines, protocols, and tools designed for constructing software applications.
  • Model and manage large scale document-based databases and cache storage systems hosted on Cloud infrastructure like AWS and GCP.
  • Functional quality assurance, code deployments, and technical support; code and design reviews of peer programmers; and utilizing Java J2EE Programming, and Database Administration, using Oracle and SQL Server.

Worksite: Bellevue, WA

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements:  This position does not require travel.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $212,202.00 USD to $243,700.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
