We are seeking talented Platform Engineer Manager to join our dynamic team responsible for architecting, building, and maintaining our on-premises cloud platforms. You will play a pivotal role in designing highly available, secure, and scalable solutions, while enabling the adoption of cutting-edge technologies such as Generative AI (GenAI), container orchestration, and infrastructure automation.

The Work itself: 

• Take complete end-to-end ownership of one or more applications.
• Translate business requirements and source system understanding into technical solutions.
• Development and Implementation of the proposed solution.
• Identify or develop software frameworks to be used.
• Refactor existing solutions to make it reusable and scalable.
• Come up with Coding and Design best practices.
• Manage, Lead and mentor team, deliver tech talks to wider audience.
• Thrive in self-motivated internal-innovation driven environment.
• Integrate with agentic framework and mindset to leverage Generative AI.
• Able to think creatively about how to apply GenAI to improve and innovate within the payment technology space.
• Work with cross-functional teams to integrate GenAI solutions into existing systems. 

Essential Functions:

• Provides strategic technical and functional leadership for platform as well as a thorough understanding of the business to direct strategy on collecting and understanding requirements.
• Leads meetings with product partners to recommend development and solution strategies that improve the design and functionality of interface features across a range of payment products.
• Formalizes standard processes on the use of programming languages (e.g. HTML, C++, Java) to write code that fulfills website modification requests and technical requirements.
• Leads and plans the piloting and integration of new technology capabilities and features that enhance the user website experience across e-commerce products.
• Analyzes patterns across bugs and implements systemic solutions to ensure websites remain functional and easy to use.
• Plays a significant role in the development and delivery of new features within a product from end-to-end.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field with 7-10 years of experience in a directly related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience of building REST based web services & web applications using Java and Spring framework, Python, GoLang, etc
• Programming Languages: Knowledge of and ability to develop code (e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AngularJs, ReactJs etc ) in support of package and product development. This includes the extension of capabilities of packages and products.
• Experience writing unit and integration test cases
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented design and programming concepts
• Web Browser Optimization: The ability to select the best available values of some objective function to improve the functional effectiveness of web browsers.
• User Interface Design: Knowledge of user interface design, which is the interaction where users and computers interact. This includes an understanding of how to provide an optimal industrial design experience through User Interface (UI) Design.
• API Generation: The ability to develop and apply Application Program Interfaces (APIs), a set of routines, protocols, and tools for building software applications that specify how software components should interact and are used when programming graphical user
• Develop code and mentor junior developers to ensure deliverables are on time, within budget, and maintain good code quality.
• Possess knowledge of and the ability to use database software (e.g., applications, web-based applications, information systems) to maintain, modify, and output data.
• Have knowledge of systems integration processes where separately produced components or subsystems are combined, and their interaction problems are addressed.
• Understand data structures, which consist of data organization, management, and storage formats, enabling efficient access and modifications. This includes a collection of data values, the relationships among them, and the functions or operations that can be applied to the data.
• Experience in all phases of development - design, coding, testing, debugging, deployment, and monitoring of applications is highly preferred.
• Security and Authentication standards and technologies, including OAuth.
• Flavors of GenAI: Experience and understanding of Generative AI technologies and their applications.
• Agentic Framework: Understanding of the agentic framework and mindset for leveraging Generative AI.
• Innovation: Ability to think creatively about how to apply GenAI to improve and innovate within the payment technology space.
• Collaboration: Proven experience in working with cross-functional teams to integrate GenAI solutions into existing systems.
• Network architecture, Load balancers, and Firewalls.
