Role Overview

As a Visual Designer (Hybrid) in Arlington, Virginia, you'll champion the visual design for our evolving design system. Partnering with senior leadership, designers, and engineers, you'll scale our visual language—from color palettes and micro-interactions to icon libraries and design patterns. This hands-on role demands a creative storyteller capable of high-level decisions to deliver next-gen products on the Falcon platform. At CrowdStrike, product designers are equal partners with product management and engineering, owning the user experience from conception to rollout. Key Responsibilities

Scope and Strategize

Rapidly scope project work, balancing short-term delivery with long-term goals. Drive discovery and requirements gathering to create solutions rooted in systems thinking.

Evangelize and Collaborate

Champion the design system, promoting collaboration and team-focused decisions. Model rigorous design reviews, guideline creation, and creative direction.

Communicate and Align

Effectively communicate design rationale, build cross-team consensus, and solve complex challenges. Use design artifacts to foster alignment and deliver cohesive experiences.

Partner with Engineering

Work closely with front-end engineers to ensure adherence to coding standards, variable usage, and accessibility. Develop deep knowledge of CrowdStrike features for extensible solutions.

Qualifications & Requirements

Core Expertise

A strong illustration portfolio showcasing various styles, techniques, and maintenance of guidelines for illustrations and animations across platforms. Proficiency in Figma, Axure, and Adobe Creative Suite. Outstanding collaboration, communication skills in visual, verbal, and written formats.

Design System Mastery

Experience scaling enterprise-level design systems, including component creation, theming, and design tokens. Strong grasp of visual design principles, storytelling, documentation for guidelines, and accessible solutions. Familiarity with custom Enterprise SaaS design systems in high-volume data sectors like cybersecurity and fintech.

Technical and Soft Skills

Understanding of product development lifecycle, localization, and engineering frameworks (Web Components, React, Ember). Self-driven, growth-oriented, data-driven, with servant leadership, flexibility in ambiguity, and stakeholder alignment skills. Online portfolio required. Ability to work hybrid from Arlington, VA, or Austin, TX office 2+ days per week.
